RoseHA Dual-Server High Availability Solution
Business Continuity and Data Security Assurance Solution
RoseMirrorHA is a dual-server high availability solution based on real-time data mirroring or shared disks. Users can enhance a single-server setup by adding a second server or by adding a second server and a disk array to achieve a flexible dual-server high availability system.
In this high availability solution, the operating system and applications are installed on the local system disks of both servers. The entire network system’s data is managed and backed up through a centralized disk array. User data is stored on an external shared disk array, ensuring that if one server fails, the backup server will actively take over, guaranteeing uninterrupted network services.
Overview:RoseMirrorHA is designed to provide robust business continuity and data security by using dual servers and a shared disk array. It ensures that your network services remain uninterrupted even if one server fails.
Servers Used:
Primary Server:
This server handles the main workload and operates as the primary unit in the system.
It runs the operating system and applications required for your business operations.
The data is actively managed and processed on this server.
Backup Server:
This server stands by to take over the workload if the primary server fails.
It maintains a real-time mirror of the data and system state from the primary server.
It ensures continuity of services and operations in the event of a failure.
Additional Components:
Disk Array:
An external shared disk array is used for centralized data management and backup.
It stores user data and provides real-time synchronization between the primary and backup servers.
This ensures that both servers have access to the same data, and the backup server can take over seamlessly if needed.
How It Works:
Real-Time Data Mirroring:
Data from the primary server is mirrored to the backup server through the shared disk array.
This ensures that the backup server always has an up-to-date copy of the data and system state.
Automatic Failover:
In the event of a failure on the primary server, the backup server automatically takes over.
The transition is seamless, and network services continue without interruption.
Centralized Data Management:
The disk array centralizes data storage and backup.
It simplifies data management and reduces the risk of data loss.
Benefits:
Enhanced Reliability: Guarantees service continuity and minimizes downtime.
Data Security: Protects against data loss through real-time mirroring and centralized backup.
Flexibility: Allows for easy scaling and adjustments based on business needs.
Use Cases:
Enterprise Environments: Suitable for businesses requiring high uptime and data integrity.
Critical Applications: Ideal for applications where continuous operation is essential.
Data-Intensive Operations: Provides a secure solution for environments with high data processing needs.
