On December 2, 2024, in Shenzhen, China, a delegation from the Saudi Ministry of Health signed a memorandum of cooperation with Huawei during their visit to China for the Shenzhen Bantian Base. According to the memorandum, both parties will further strengthen strategic cooperation in five areas, including the National Healthcare Digitalization Platform, AI Digital Diagnosis and Treatment, Medical AI Innovation Laboratory, Digital Healthcare Talent Training, and Next Generation Healthcare Management System, to accelerate the digital transformation of healthcare in Saudi Arabia.

At the signing ceremony, both parties had in-depth exchanges on how to achieve digital transformation of Saudi healthcare, and strengthen their understanding and trust in the field of healthcare. Saudi Arabia's Minister of Health, Fahd bin Jaladji, expressed gratitude for Huawei's long-term contributions in the healthcare sector in Saudi Arabia. They fully trust Huawei's ability in digital transformation and intelligent construction in the healthcare industry, and are willing to establish long-term cooperation in five areas: digital healthcare infrastructure, AI smart hospitals, medical research and innovation, medical ICT (Information and Communication) management and technical talent, and inclusive healthcare information platforms.

During the visit, a delegation from the Saudi Ministry of Health visited the von Neumann exhibition hall and the medical industry customer dialogue room at Huawei's Shenzhen Bantian base. They had a close-up experience of Huawei's ICT technology advantages in "cloud, network, edge, and end" integrated collaboration, and gained a deep understanding of Huawei's business in the field of smart healthcare, including scenario based solutions and related practices such as the National Healthcare Cloud, Smart Hospitals, Medical Technology Digitalization, Smart Supply Chain, and Smart Wards.
